SUSTAIN ME LORD

Sustain me, Lord,
give to me those
things I need

Help me to overcome
those things which
might hinder our
relationship

Change my heart as
needed always filling
it with your warmth
and love

That I may be to others
what you have been to
me… a consistent and
wonderful blessing

Sustain me, Lord,
nourish and cultivate
me with the wisdom and
understanding of Your
Spirit

Help me to grow and
blossom, that I may
be more ‘productive’
for You and many
others in this world.

I GOT OUT OF THE BOAT AND WALKED

Suddenly, a fierce storm struck the lake, with waves breaking into the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The deciples went and woke him up, shouting, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!” Jesus responded, “Why are you afraid? You have so little faith! ” Then he got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly there was a great calm.” Matthew 8:24

I would like to be known as the girl who tried and failed rather than the girl who never tried at all. Let me get out of the boat. Others might watch me sink after taking a few steps, but they will never be able to say that I did not step out . They may highlight my failure of sinking in the water I walked on, but I will be quick to remind them that, at the very least. I GOT OUT OF THE BOAT AND WALKED! My success was not predicated on whether or not I achieved what I was after; NO, it is known by the simple fact that I chose to go after it….

Stepping into new territory or facing big challenges can be a bit daunting and intimidating. But I know that God is the one that is beckoning me forward and helping me to step past the wall of fear and take ground into the new or the next season or place. God knows that I would experience a measure of fear in the face of the unknown with questions of : “What if this fails, What if I fall, What if it does not work…” But God has given us plenty of reminders to be strong, brave and courageous, to be undaunted in the face of fear, reminding us that He will never leave or forsake us…

I don’t know about you, but I want to be the one to take hold of the promises that God has on my life. To not let fear hold me from anything — So this is a little nudge, a bit of a push to get going, to step out. And as you do, and as you confront the new things that has intimidated you, you are going to break past the enemy of fear and you will be amazed that it wasn’t as bad as you thought. The Lord was with you the whole time. He’s the God of endless supply. Yes He is! Hold onto Him. Keep fighting the good fight and preaching truth to your heart.💕 Amen! God bless!

BLESSINGS AND LOVE…😊 🙏 ❤

THANK YOU!!!!

“Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.”

I’m using this overused quote today to describe exactly how I feel. Cliché but true!

It really warms my heart to see so much of my fellow bloggers shower so much of love on me — people who I have never met or spoken to…

Do I continue to share?” This I’ve asked myself a hundred times. The answer was often NO! But my heart screamed YES! —YES, to the many who thank me daily for motivating and inspiring them. YES, to that girl who said “I really needed to read this!” YES, to that person who said my post helped them get out of bed…

It is in moments like these that I experience a shift in perspective and truly understand the power of the internet. It is in moments like these that I refute the fact that social media isn’t a reflection of our real life. It is in moments like these that I realise that true kindness and noble intentions still have a place in the world.

Although I have interacted with most of you through a phone screen, I felt a tsunami of warmth and love reach me and leave me in a warm hug.

To each and every one of you who took the time to read my blog posts. THANK YOU SO SO MUCH! 6 years!!!!!! I’m truly Humbled! Thank you for your loyal and continued support.

I hope to live up to your expectations and deliver the very best for the 2nd half of 2019. Thank you for making this girl who loves to write feel like the luckiest person in the world. I honestly feel so so good!

🙏❤God bless!

ARE WE THIS HUMBLE?

Our Savior was crushed and spit upon….The king of kings was born to a lowly girl (Luke 1:4) The creator of the universe was swaddled and laid in a feeding trough (Luke 2:7) The first to hear of the birth of the Messiah and come to worship him were mere shepherds (Luke 2: 8-17) Jesus was born to a family too poor to offer the sacrifice of a lamb — so they gave two turtledoves instead. (Luke 2: 22-24) Leveticus 12:6-8)

Are we this lowly. Are we this humble? Or do we believe that we are always entitled to something bigger, better or more than we already have. Are you too prideful to do the unnoticed and embarrassing tasks — like washing the dirty feet of others, hoping they will reciprocate or express their deep gratitude…

Don’t ever become so high that you believe, think or feel, that you are beyond being taught, by someone who you deem, to be lower than yourself. God can and will use anyone to drop a word of wisdom, wisdom that can help or give you clarity.

God doesn’t see your rank, position, colour, or creed . He sees your heart. Becareful how you treat people, don’t manipulate, condemn or use people, even “little” people who God may use to bless you. God sees everything, We are all God’s children and it’s good to remember that as you go along your daily life.

As Paul wrote, “though He was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, He humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on the cross…” (Philippians 2: 6-9)

Don’t let Pride tiptoe into your hearts. Be humble! Let the most beautiful thing about you be your heart. Amen!❤❤❤

God bless.💕

BUT GOD SAYS “WAIT THE BEST IS YET TO COME”

Those who seek the LORD lack no good thing – Psalm 34:10

It’s easy to get catastrophically pulled under by the general cynism and expectations around us. Yet, when pay attention to the nuances of the world I can detect a sense of rightness, the way things were meant to be, a pattern of redemption for the open, the seeking….

So it’s only natural that when we experience a change in our life (like no longer being in university, or speaking to friends you’ve grown accustomed to), to flounder a bit. We expect ourselves to find whatever it is we are looking for, right away. We want to fast-track our way to comfort and okay-ness. Sometimes society screams to figure it all out. (where to go and who to be) can be deafening…

David was more than a nice theory. Because he had drawn near to the LORD as His good shepherd, he lacked nothing -Psalm 23. And he was so confident of God’s ongoing favor in his life that he proclaimed, ” Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.”

David experienced this same kind of favor when the Prophet Samuel was seeking God’s direction on who Israel’s next king should be.(1 Samuel 16) Samuel knew the king was to be chosen amongst the sons of Jesse, and so the sons were paraded before the Prophet to see which one was the Lord’s choice. Samuel must have been puzzled when NONE of the seven oldest sons met with God’s approval, so he told Jesse: “The Lord has not chosen these….Are these all the sons you have?” (vs 10.11) Apparently, no one had thought to invite David to this important gathering. He was the youngest son, and he was tending his father’s sheep.

You see, when you open your heart to Gods wisdom, everything else in your life is impacted. His grace is available and sufficient for you; even when you pass through the water and walk through the fire; He’s with you. Your victory and your breakthrough is closer than you know it. Keep trusting! Amen!

God bless.💕

Love and Blessings….😊🙏❤

IN HIS TIME

DO YOU TRUST ME WHEN MY ANSWER IS WAIT? – GOD

You know that moment when you’re just minding your own business + suddenly you get a phone call or e-mail that the opportunity you’ve been waiting for has finally come through? Or that split second when you’re bolted over with an idea or inspiration that stops you dead in your tracks? There is nothing more exhilarating than these magical instances when everything you’ve ever done and all of your experiences and abilities meld together in one epiphany and you just know, on a molecular level that your life will never be the same again! And you smile.😊

God moves in His timing, not yours. He is never late, but He is usually not early either. He is often the God of the midnight hour. He sometimes waits until the last second before He gives you what you need. Before He intervenes on your behalf, He had to be sure you are not going to take matters into your own hands and do something out of his Perfect timing.

Be prepared to celebrate. Concentrate on that goal of yours. Never stop from pursuing it. Give it all your best. Put your faith to bear. God is ready to break protocols on your behalf. Get ready! Let your focus be on God. Do not be distracted by the opinion of people, be moved by your intuition.

The time for you to blossom is here. You are graced for it. #winning. Go for it! God bless.💕

WHEN YOU BELIEVE THE BEST IN PEOPLE

You help to bring out the best in them.

I’ve found that if i treat people the way I want them to be, they are much more likely to become that sort of person. They’re much more likely to change. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at how people respond when they know you really care. Everywhere, Christ, He saw potential in people that they didn’t see in themselves. He didn’t focus on their weaknesses or faults. He saw them the way they could become.

For example, the disciple Peter had many rough edges. He was hot-tempered, loud, bombastic, and impetuous, but that didn’t deter Jesus. Jesus didn’t say, “Forget it, Peter. I am going to find somebody a little more refined than you”. Instead, Jesus worked with Peter to bring the best out of him. It was in there. He just had to get it out.

Now, interestingly, Peters name literally meant “pebble” or “small stone”. However, Jesus saw so much in Peter. He said, ‘I am going to give you a new name. Your name is going to be Cephas, which means “a rock”. In other words, God said, “ You are a pebble right now, but when I get finished with you, you’re going to be a rock. You’re going to be strong, solid, and secure”.

As a rule, you never bring out the best in someone by condemning and criticizing, or verbally beating a person down. You bring out the best by love. You bring it out by showing people that you care. Your friends, family members, or coworkers may do some things you don’t like or that you find offensive; they may have some bad habits, but don’t focus on their weaknesses. Find something they’re doing right and encourage them for that.

I’m not saying that you just sweep things under the rug, but wait for the right time and opportunity to deal with those negative actions or attitudes. First, you must build your relationship, gain the person’s trust and respect, and you can do that by encouraging and challenging him or her to rise higher. People are more likely to change when you treat them the way you want them to be.

For instance, if your friend is not treating you with as much respect as you know you should, don’t sink down to his/her level and act disrespectful as well. No, sow a seed. Treat him/her respectfully anyway and watch him/her begin to change. If he’s /she’s lazy, treat as if he/her were a hard worker. He/she may do a thousand things you don’t like, but find the one thing on which you can compliment him/her and encourage him/her for that.

It’s easy to pick and find fault, but our goal Is to bring out the best in people. Our job is to encourage, build up, to challenge people to rise higher. I once heard someone say,” Complimenting each other is the glue that holds relationships and friendships together”.  With so many things working against friendships nowadays its amazing what a kind word here and there will do.

“Honey, you look beautiful today. Thanks for preparing such a delicious dinner,” or, “You did great on your project last week”. Short sincere, natural compliments can help keep our relationships strong. Our society overflows with critics, cynics, and faultfinders. Many people quickly point out what you’re doing wrong, but relatively few take the time to point out anything you are doing right.

I don’t want to live my life like that and I am sure you don’t want to live your s that way either. I’m going to be a giver and not a taker. I want to build people up and not tear them down. I am going to do my best to leave places better off than they were before I passed by. You can be a people builder everywhere you go. That woman at the office, who always seems grumpy, rather than complaining about her, take time to give her a compliment. Build up your friends, and coworkers and your boss.

When you wake up in the morning, instead of channelling all your energies on how you will be blessed, redirect some to how you can be a blessing to someone else. In my life, I have been blessed to have people who believed in me and still does. Friends, choose to bring out the best in people that God has put in your life. You’re never more than God than when you give, and the closest thing to His heart is helping others. If you will be a people builder, focused on bringing out the best in others, I can promise you this: God will bring out the best in you.

Blessings and Love

Goodnight 💕
